    Question about Age Regression Podcast

    Tuesday, January 1, 2008, 12:11 PM [General]

I just listened to Cal and Celeste's recent podcast on age regression while I was walking my grey, Roxie. At one point I hear an acronym - it was related to ISE and SSE but it was called IPE (or maybe PSE?).
(I haven't figured out how to "rewind" a podcast to hear it again - my apologies). Would someone be willing to explain what those three initials stand for?

Wishing everyone a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year, hugs, Wendy Goldenthal in Devon, PA.

    Hello Wendy!

Thanks for listening to our podcast. You probably are talking about SPE, the symptom producing event. This is the event that precedes or appears to be the beginning of the problem your client has. Such as the first time they have a cigarette when they are at a bar trying to look cool around friends.

    Here are some other acronyms:

ISE -Initial sensitizing event (where the problem actually started - often the client isn't aware of this as the beginning.)

SSE -Subsequent sensitizing event (events that re-inforced the ISE)

AR -Age Regression - Having the client go back to an event and RE LIVE IT. NOT the same as remembering it.

FOO - Forgiveness of others- a phase of 5-payth work where we help the client forgive those who have hurt them the most (used to reduce internal anger that often is driving or helping to drive a behavior.)

FOS - Forgiveness of self - addresses guilt and anger at the self for the same reasons as FOO.

    Thanks again for listening.

Hi Wendy - Hey, it is good to know that someone is actually listening.

Celeste, as usual you are right on top of things.

Here is another one, "SPE" which is the symptom producing event. It is the event that actually brought the issue or symptom into reality. If the ISE is weak then it may take several SSEs to reinforce the emotion or thought sufficiently for it to actually manifest as the issue that brought your client into your office.

Have a GREAT 2008 and keep on listening.
